I can tell you that I myself purchased a BC/BS plan as this and had cut my costs from $1500 month to $489 month and did cover all the above for my family.It did not cover sick visits to the Dr. This is now why you may purchase a Medical Discount Plan along with a plan as I had done and be better covered for major illness plus instead of paying a $25 co-pay to see a Dr. for a sore throat I was able to pay $75 . Yes the co-pay was higher but look at the premium. This was a BC/BS Empire plan in New York.
